On the Threshold of Hope: Opening the door to healing for survivors of sexual abuse

This support group is for women who have suffered from sexual abuse and desire healing.  We will read Dr. Diane Mandt Langberg’s book “On the Threshold of Hope:  Opening the door to healing for survivors of sexual abuse.”  Dr. Langberg's insights and the quotations from many survivors assure readers that they are not alone and that Christ, the Redeemer, can heal their deep wounds. Through stories, Scripture, questions, and encouragement, Dr. Langberg walks with survivors on the road to healing through Christ's love and power.  The books for this group are $20.  Scholarships are available. This group will be led by DeAnna Sheets, MA. LPC-S and limited to five participants.

Get Out of Your Head:  A Study in Philippians

In Get Out of Your Head, Jennie Allen inspires and equips us to transform our emotions, our outlook, and even our circumstances by taking control of our thoughts. Our enemy is determined to get in our heads to make us feel helpless overwhelmed, and incapable of making a difference for the kingdom of God. But when we submit our minds to Christ, the promises and goodness of God flood lives in remarkable ways.

Are your thoughts holding you captive? I’ll never be good enough. Other people have better lives than I do. God could not really love me. Author, Jennie Allen, knows what it is like to swirl in a spiral of destructive thoughts, but she also knows we don’t have to stay stuck in toxic thinking patterns.  The books for this group are $20. Scholarships are available. This class  will be led by Missy Lemons.
