Meet Our staff
Gary has been on staff at FBC Canyon since 2001 and currently serves as our Associate Pastor of Music and Children. He is a Canyon native who graduated from West Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. He is married to Julie and they have three children: Hannah, Lydia, and Nathan
Andrew Self
Assistant Pastor of Students
Andrew has served as the Associate Pastor of Students since August 2021. He is married to Tracie, and they have three children, Lydia, Malachi, and Abel.

Steve Olsen
Senior Pastor
Steve has served as pastor of FBC Canyon since 2011. He is married to Jayme, and they have two children, JP and Reagan. Steve is a graduate of West Texas A&M and Dallas Theological Seminary.
Drew Taylor
Assistant Pastor of Discipleship
Drew joined the staff of FBC Canyon in October 2016. He currently serves as our Assistant Pastor of Discipleship. He has been married to his wife, Lindsay, since June 2005. They have four children: Noah, Luke, Anna, and Reid. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Director of Preschool Ministry
Jordan Easom
Jordan joined the staff in April 2022. She currently serves as the Director of Preschool Ministry. She graduated from West Texas A&M. She is married to Jordan and they have three children: Jed, Josie, Jeter, and Joel.
Lydia Solomon
Director of Children's Ministry
Lydia joined the staff in June 2023. She serves as the Director of Children’s Ministry. She graduated from West Texas A&M University with her degree in Communication Disorders. Her joy is partnering with families for the purpose of bringing children into a transformative relationship with Jesus Christ, by helping them growing in their knowledge and love of God and his people.
Emily Hinson
Director of University Ministry
Emily has served on the FBC Canyon staff since August 2020. She currently serves as the Local Outreach Coordinator. Emily is a graduate of West Texas A&M and is presently working on a graduate degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
DeAnna Sheets
Director of Counseling
DeAnna Sheets, M.A., LPC-S is a Canyon native and is employed as the Director of Counseling Ministries. DeAnna began working at FBC Canyon in 2001. She obtained her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Wayland Baptist University. In addition to individual, marriage, and family counseling, her counseling specialties are working with Christian ministry leaders, missionaries and she is an affair recovery specialist.
Scott Robinson
Financial Administrator
Scott joined the FBC Canyon staff as the Financial Administrator in September 2012. Scott is a lifelong resident of Canyon, and he received a bachelor’s degree in Marketing at what was then known as West Texas State University. He is married to Vickie and they have two children, McKayla and Zach.
Vickie Robinson
Ministry Assistant
Vickie joined the staff at FBC Canyon in August 2011. She has served in several capacities since that time and she currently serves as a Ministry Assistant in the church office. Vickie is a native of Lazbuddie, Texas. She is married to Scott and they have two children, McKayla and Zach.
