The Gospel

Here’s what the Bible says…

God created us for his glory.

“I will say to the north, Give up, and to the south, Do not withhold; bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth, everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” (Isaiah 43:6-7)

Therefore, it is our duty to live for his glory.

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

We have all failed to glorify God.

“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God …” (Romans 3:23)

We are all subject to eternal condemnation.

“For the wages of sin is death …” (Romans 6:23)

Nevertheless, in his great mercy, God sent forth his son, Jesus Christ, to save sinners by dying in their place on the cross and rising bodily from the dead.

“…but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

The benefits purchased by the death of Christ belong to those who repent and trust him.

“Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?” (Romans 2:4)

“…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

If you want to trust Jesus now for forgiveness of your sins and to receive eternal life, all you must do is repent and believe. You can express your belief through a simple prayer like this…

Jesus, I believe you died on the cross for my sin and that you were raised three days later from the dead. I trust you today as my Savior.

Once you trust Jesus as your Savior and Lord the Bible says you have eternal life.

“… whoever believes has eternal life.” (John 6:47)
